Doing What's Right
“…sometimes to do what’s right, we’ve to be self-sacrificing, even it means giving up our dreams...”. These are the words from one of the characters in Spiderman 2.
This reminds me about several things. About following Christ, it reminds me to be self-sacrificing towards ourselves and embrace the values of Christ. About my family, it reminds me that going after the next higher paying job may not be the best thing for my family.
Last week, I visited my uncle to discuss about his offer for me to assist him in his business endeavor. I had a good chat with him. It was also good that I finally get to meet him for the discussion as I’ve been procrastinating it for some time. It further confirms that it’s not a good move for me to join him. In short, we share different values and therefore it’s hard for me to adopt his if I were to work for him. It may also affect time for my family not mention church ministry as well.

when decisions are made based on Kingdom values, we find that there's a "peace" and "confidence" that surpasses all understanding and we become better humans ... better Christians. The battle and struggle may still be there, but we're stronger.
DB - admire your courage in this decision, I hope I can also make the right one in the coming months, you set a good example for some of the 'kids' at BLC by putting family and church first
